Job Purpose

Develop and grow the corporate business portfolio by acquiring and retaining corporate clients, leading the corporate sales team, building strategic partnerships, and achieving premium, profitability, and retention targets.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement corporate sales strategies to achieve premium growth.
Develop market penetration strategies for targeted industries and across key economic sectors.
Provide market intelligence and recommend new business initiatives.
Drive sustainable growth of the corporate insurance portfolio.
Coordinate tender identification, preparation, submission, and follow-up.
Develop strategic partnerships that enhance business growth.
Drive profitable underwriting through collaboration with technical departments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients.
Develop executive engagement plans for strategic accounts.
Conduct regular client visits and business reviews.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Corporate Business team.
Collaborate with the underwriting and claims departments to streamline processes and enhance service delivery for corporate clients.
Any other responsibilities assigned to the jobholder by the supervisor from time to time.

Educational and Professional Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Insurance or related discipline from a reputable university.
Professional Insurance Qualification either AIIK/ACII** **

Work Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior role, with a proven track record, in managing corporate or commercial business.
