Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
-
Prepare and process customs clearance documentation for petroleum products and related cargo.
-
Lodge loading orders and customs entries with relevant authorities.
-
Present documentation to Kenya Revenue Authority for gate pass processing and cargo clearance.
-
Coordinate with relevant offices to facilitate smooth truck dispatch and depot operations.
-
Verify Bills of Lading (BoL) and relevant documents.
-
Track and update shipment and truck dispatch status.
-
Liaise with customs officials, transporters, depot staff, and clearing agents.
-
Maintain accurate records of customs entries, dispatch documentation, and stock movement.
-
Follow up on customs clearance issues to avoid delays, demurrage, and penalties.
-
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, HS codes, tariffs, and petroleum industry procedures.
-
Support daily depot and logistics operations.
Key Requirements:
-
Diploma or Degree in Clearing & Forwarding or Customs Administration
-
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Clearing & forwarding, Customs documentation or Depot operations or transport coordination
-
Working knowledge of KRA customs procedures, loading and dispatch operations, Customs declaration systems such as iCMS, KenTrade, or ASYCUDA
-
Understanding of Bills of Lading, Customs entries and gate pass processing
-
Strong computer literacy (MS Office and logistics systems).
-
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
-
High integrity and professionalism.
