Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University is implementing The Challenge Initiative (TCI), a project funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) through The Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health (GI), Department of Population, Family & Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Responsibilities include adapting and supporting implementation of the TCI Kenya MEL framework, tools, and reporting systems; strengthening county capacity to collect, aggregate, analyze, and report FP and MNCH data using routine systems, including DHIS2; coordinating and supporting routine data quality assurance (DQA) and HII quality checklist activities; compiling, analyzing, and visualizing program performance data; facilitating regular data review and reflection meetings; building capacity of county leadership and technical teams to interpret and use data; documenting implementation progress, challenges, innovations, and lessons learned; providing technical input into the design, adaptation, and implementation of evaluations/ operational research activities; monitoring quality and fidelity of program implementation; supporting preparation and quality assurance of routine program reports, dashboards, communication products; representing TCI in national and regional MEL forums; and leading the team to adhere to TCI, Jhpiego, and donor MEL standards, policies, and ethical guidelines.
