Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for farming, manufacturing, and distribution operations. Develop product-level profitability analysis (SKU-level margin analysis for fresh, processed, and export lines). Support pricing decisions through cost build-ups and sensitivity analysis (feed cost volatility, FX impact on imports, fuel cost movements). Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis (volume, yield, wastage, overhead absorption). Maintain standard costing models for livestock rearing, slaughtering, processing, and packaging. Monitor production yields, carcass recovery rates, wastage, and by-product revenue streams. Analyze feed cost per kg of livestock growth and its impact on overall cost of sales. Ensure accurate inventory valuation across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and cold storage. Work closely with plant managers to understand operational inefficiencies and cost leakage. Monitor stock movements across farms, plants, cold rooms, and distribution depots. Reconcile physical stock counts with system records and investigate variances. Track inventory holding days and reduce working capital tied up in stock. Provide financial modelling support for capital expenditure (new processing lines, cold rooms, fleet expansion). Support export costing models including duty, logistics, and compliance costs. Drive cost optimization initiatives with procurement and operations teams. Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and reporting timelines. Support external and internal audits with relevant documentation.
