Job Description

To be responsible for the supervision/ co-ordination of all the laundry staff by ensuring that all services offered by the laundry department are available and carried out with the utmost efficiency.

To have a full working knowledge of all the washing, dry cleaning, presser machines and all equipment utilized in the laundry for operation and maintenance.

To have a full knowledge and understanding of all the chemical products utilized and their proper and economical use. Proper storage, the environmental and proper disposal of all toxic products.

To inform the manager on the progress of the chemical consumption and if there is need of any requisition.

To have a full knowledge of all the textiles and their proper care.

To have a full knowledge of all washing, dry cleaning maintenance etc. procedures of all the laundry department procedures.

Constantly check the linen, uniforms and guest laundry for cleanliness quality of pressing, folding, packaging.

Check for defects on the guest laundry and staff uniforms and give recommendations where necessary.

To supervise the distribution of all articles to ensure adequate supply of linen as well as the efficient handling of guest, Managers and employee’s uniforms. Ensure proper controlling.
Qualifications
-
Diploma in Housekeeping & Laundry Operations or related field

Previous experience in a similar capacity

Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
