Duties and responsibilities The Farewell Home Assistant shall be responsible to the employer and the supervisor for the following; Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures; Recording bodies received; Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration; Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems; Counselling the relatives; Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures; and Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
