Constitutional and Statutory Requirements for Appointment:
Pursuant to Section 133A (2) (a) of the Land Act CAP 280, applicants for this position must be qualified to be appointed as a judge of the High Court. The applicant must therefore hold the following qualifications:
Hold a law degree from a recognized university, or are advocates of the High Court of Kenya, or professionally qualified magistrates, or possess an equivalent qualification in a common-law jurisdictionÂ
Have at least ten (10) years’ experience as a distinguished academic, or legal practitioner, or such experience in other relevant legal field;
Have held the qualifications specified in paragraphs (i) and (ii) above for a period amounting, in the aggregate, to ten (10) years; irrespective of whether that experience was gained in Kenya or in another Commonwealth Common-Law jurisdiction.
 Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage.
 Have a high moral character, integrity, and impartiality (meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity).

Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications:
For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -
Master's degree in any of the following disciplines: Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or any other recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any other recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (CPA K) or Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) or Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Registered as a member and be in good standing with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) or Institute of Risk Management (IRM) or any other recognized professional body;
Proficiency in computer applications; and
Meet the Requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
A Course in Strategic Leadership Development or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
Experience:
Minimum twelve (12) years relevant work-experience with at least three (3) years at the level of Senior Management.
