Makueni County Public Service Board is established under Section 57 of the County Governments Act 2012. The Board was inaugurated on the 5th of August, 2013 as a body corporate with perpetual succession and seal capable of suing and being sued in its corporate name. It is composed of a Chairman, five Board Members and a Secretary all appointed by the Governor. The job requires a minimum of a Bachelors from a university recognized in Kenya or its equivalent in any of the following fields: Accounting/Finance; Engineering; Human Resource; Law or Business systems/ Management systems or Any other professional field with relevant experience. Must be a member in good standing with the relevant professional body. Must have a minimum of seven (7) years working experience in the core profession of the person or have run a registered own enterprise for a minimum of seven (7) years. Experience and training in Corporate Governance or water related sector will be an added advantage. Must meet the Leadership and Integrity criteria under chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and meets fit and proper test criteria from WASREB. Must be a resident of the area covered by Mbooni Water and Sanitation Company Limited (MBONWASCO). Must not be a holder of any political office and must not be a State Officer.
