Our client, a growing company in the IT sector based in Nairobi CBD, is seeking to recruit a competent and experienced Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with statutory and financial reporting requirements. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, and experienced in managing accounting functions within a structured business environment, preferably in the IT or technology industry. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Handle bank reconciliations and cash flow management. Ensure timely statutory deductions and remittance (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, VAT, etc.). Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. Support external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. Monitor company expenses and advise management on cost control measures. Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Part II or Finalist) is required; CPA-K is an added advantage. Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within an IT or technology company. Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and statutory compliance. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Strong analytical and financial reporting skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
