We are hiring on behalf of our client in the cereals distribution and FMCG sector for a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to lead finance operations and support business decision-making through accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational financial management.
The ideal candidate must have strong FMCG accounting experience and proven practical expertise in using Odoo ERP for accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, inventory accounting, and operational finance management.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining internal controls, managing statutory compliance, and supporting profitability analysis within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and financial documentationÂ
Ensure proper classification of income, expenses, assets, and liabilitiesÂ
Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Odoo ERPÂ
Maintain supporting schedules for all balance sheet accountsÂ
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and financial proceduresÂ
Odoo ERP Financial Operations

Financial reportingÂ
Reconciliations Â
Inventory accountingÂ
Accounts payable & receivable managementÂ
General ledger managementÂ
Expense trackingÂ
Financial analysis and reportingÂ
Ensure proper utilization and integrity of accounting data within Odoo ERPÂ
Support process improvements and accounting system efficiencyÂ
Month-End & Financial Closing
Prepare and post month-end journal entriesÂ
Perform accruals, provisions, and prepayment adjustmentsÂ
Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processesÂ
Prepare and review trial balances and financial statementsÂ
Reconciliations & Financial Accuracy
**Conduct reconciliations for:Â **
Bank accountsÂ
Payables & receivablesÂ
Payroll accountsÂ
Inventory accountsÂ
Fixed assetsÂ
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepanciesÂ
Analyze GL accounts and identify unusual transactions or financial inconsistencies Â
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial recordsÂ
Cost Control & Inventory Management
Monitor product cost margins and profitability performanceÂ
Conduct budget variance analysis and cost monitoringÂ
Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedulesÂ
Support inventory accounting and stock reconciliation processesÂ
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
Assist in VAT returns preparation and tax computationsÂ
Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirementsÂ
Maintain accurate financial records for compliance purposesÂ
Audit & Financial Reporting
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentationÂ
Support internal and external audit processesÂ
Respond to audit queries and implement recommendationsÂ
Provide management with financial insights and operational reportsÂ
Minimum Requirements
Mandatory Requirement
Additional Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldÂ
CPA (K) or CPA Finalist is highly preferredÂ
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an FMCG company (mandatory)Â
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standardsÂ
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systemsÂ
Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skillsÂ
High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detailÂ
