Provide confidential individual and group counselling sessions to students on personal, social, and academic concerns. Offer crisis intervention and support for students facing emergencies or acute psychological distress. Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential counselling records in line with professional standards. Design and implement psycho-educational workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on mental health, stress management, conflict resolution, substance abuse, and other student-related issues. Provide guidance on personal development, adjustment to university life, and coping strategies. Work closely with faculty, student affairs, and administrative staff to identify and address student welfare issues. Ensure counselling services align with professional ethical standards and the University’s policies. Safeguard the confidentiality of student information while adhering to safeguarding and duty-of-care requirements. Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
