The primary role of the position is to maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by performing cleaning tasks, washing dishes, and managing waste, thereby ensuring that the culinary team has the tools and space needed to operate efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Prepare ingredients required for the main dish on time according to hotel recipe. Ensure food is cooked and prepared to the correct specifications. Following food safety procedures to prevent cross contamination and food borne illnesses. Cleaning the entire area of the kitchen by maintaining the cleaning schedule of the kitchen and to ensure high standards of hygiene. Ensure that dishes are prepared in a timely manner. Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment such as oven, stovetops and grills. Assisting with ordering kitchen supplies as needed and receiving supplied items from the receiving area. Adhering to Health and Safety regulations. Ensure proper disposal of waste items and emptying the waste bins on a daily basis. Implement fully the Jumuia resorts Strategic plan and SOPs.
