Duties and responsibilities
Teaching areas allocated by the Head of Department.
Designing, developing, planning and delivering a range of programmes of study, sometimes
for entirely new courses at various levels.
Delivering high-quality lectures and practicals.
Overseeing clinical practice, providing students with real-world learning experiences and
guidelines in industry settings.
Reviewing course content and materials on a regular basis, updating when required.
Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development, curriculum changes and
the development of research activities.
Carrying out research and writing research grant proposals.
Seeking and participating in consultancies.
Presenting research papers at national or international conferences and other similar
events.
Disseminating research outputs.
Providing mentorship and career guidance to students and staff.
Ensuring all academic activities align with the standards of the Council of Legal Education.
Any other duty that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Qualification and experience
Masters in Law (LLM) from an accredited university.
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited university.
Registered or registrable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualification.
At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience
Demonstrate potential for university teaching and research.
