About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Executive, French Speaking to join our client's growing team and drive the sales of innovative technology, IT hardware and electronic security solutions across the market. The successful candidate will combine technical understanding with strong sales and business development skills. The role will involve identifying new business opportunities, understanding client requirements, recommending appropriate technology solutions, conducting product presentations and demonstrations, preparing proposals and quotations, and managing opportunities through to successful closure. The ideal candidate must be comfortable communicating with clients in both French and English and have a strong interest in technology, IT infrastructure and electronic security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets.
Prospect for new clients through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, research and other business development activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and closing.
Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently work towards achieving sales targets.
Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling and repeat business.
Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs and competitor activities.
Develop relationships with decision-makers, businesses, institutions, channel partners and other relevant stakeholders.

Technical Sales

Understand clients' business and technical requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Sell and promote IT hardware, technology solutions, electronic security systems and related products and services.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and client meetings.
Explain technical features, benefits and value propositions in a clear and commercially compelling manner.
Work with technical and presales teams to develop suitable solutions for client requirements.
Participate in site visits and client assessments where required.
Support the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, quotations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and other sales documentation.
Review client requirements, RFQs, RFPs and tender opportunities and coordinate responses with the relevant technical teams.
Ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable and technically aligned with customer requirements.
Maintain knowledge of products, technologies, industry developments and competitor offerings.

IT & Security Solutions

The successful candidate will be expected to develop an understanding of and sell solutions across areas such as:

Client & Account Management

Maintain regular communication and follow-up with prospects and existing clients.
Understand client needs and identify opportunities to provide additional solutions.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation and delivery.
Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, client interactions and sales activities in the CRM.
Prepare regular sales activity and performance reports.
Attend exhibitions, conferences, networking events and industry engagements to generate business opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, Electronics, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2 years experience in technical sales, IT sales, business development, presales or a related technology sales role.
Previous experience selling IT hardware, software, electronic security, ICT infrastructure, telecommunications or technology solutions is highly preferred.
Experience in selling CCTV, access control, networking, security systems, digital signage or related solutions will be an added advantage.
Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.
Proven experience in B2B sales and business development.
Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and convert opportunities into business.
Good understanding of technology products and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Experience preparing quotations, proposals, tenders, RFQs/RFPs or BOQs is an added advantage.
Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
