Senior Technical Sales Executive (Manufacturing) β Nairobi, Kenya at Summit Recruitment and Search
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with existing customers, converters, distributors, and prospective clients. The role will focus on promoting the company's products and solutions, expanding the customer network, increasing market share, and delivering high levels of technical and commercial support to customers.
KeyΒ Responsibilities

Conduct market and customer-needs analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop innovative sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

Generate and follow up on sales leads, maintain a detailed opportunity pipeline with prospective values, and improve conversion rates in line with agreed performance targets.

Develop and execute strategic territory and key-account plans aimed at expanding the brand's market presence, growing the customer base, and maximizing return on time invested.

Manage relationships with existing customers, prospective clients, converters, distributors, and channel partners while maintaining a minimum of four customer visits per day and submitting timely visit reports.

Prepare customer value propositions and provide management with regular reports on customer needs, market trends, competitor activity, sales opportunities, product performance, and potential new products or services.

Participate in Sales and Operations Planning meetings by providing input on sales forecasts, forecast accuracy, slow-moving and obsolete stock, customer demand, and emerging risk areas.

Manage commercial negotiations relating to pricing, discounts, rebates, credit terms, and cash-on-delivery arrangements in accordance with approved company policies and authorization procedures.

Provide on-site technical support, investigate customer complaints, diagnose product or application challenges, and collaborate with Quality Control, Product, Business Development, and regional technical teams to implement effective corrective actions.

Manage the end-to-end customer complaint process by ensuring complaints are recorded within 24 hours, maintaining technical visit and complaint-resolution records, analyzing recurring issues, and communicating final outcomes to customers.

Maintain accurate customer, account, visit, pricing, product-qualification, and opportunity records in Salesforce and other company systems, while supporting credit control, customer service, marketing initiatives, and regional digital programmes.
Key Qualifications

Relevant educational background in packaging, printing, or a related field.

Strong knowledge and understanding of packaging and labeling applications, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.

Knowledge of the local market and customer base will be an added advantage.

Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, sound numerical ability, high computer literacy, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential.
