The Senior Benefits Analyst serves as a lead Analyst on the Benefit Administration team, supporting the mentorship and development of Benefit Analysts. This role is responsible for assessing, configuring, and maintaining paperless benefit enrollment systems, along with related files, reports, and data exchanges with brokers, consolidators, and carriers.
This position will also analyze, audit, evaluate, and resolve reported errors within benefits administration business systems or third-party vendor programs, including resolving, reporting, and/or escalating issues as appropriate. Other key responsibilities include DataBridge, ACA compliance, 401(k) administration, and system support for customer benefit renewals.
Responsibilities
Provide call monitoring and mentoring for benefit team members, as needed.
Provide training and support for Benefit Analysts.
Provide subject matter expertise on payroll audits for benefit deductions and notifications to appropriate individuals/teams regarding corrections (debits/credits) required to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Spearhead efforts as a key resource and/or subject matter expert for benefits-related projects such as online benefit enrollment, ACA compliance, and data import/export processes, including DataBridge.
Configure and maintain electronic benefits enrollment platforms.
Manage data file feeds and integrations with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
Troubleshoot and resolve system errors or data discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
Monitor and maintain ACA compliance reporting, including 1095-C form generation and IRS e-filing.
Assist in providing phone support for complex benefit inquiries.
Support the annual benefits renewal process by updating plan designs, rates, and eligibility rules in the system.
Provide phone support, acting as an escalation point for customer calls as needed.
Prepare custom reports for management, vendors, and clients.
Provide subject matter expertise on PrismHR configurations and reports related to benefit eligibility determinations for new hires and annual renewals.
Create and/or maintain system benefit plans, rates, contributions, and online enrollment, including all aspects of benefit implementation.
Configure and administer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and 401(k) plans.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Hard & Soft Skills
Strong background and experience in a customer service environment.
Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and systems troubleshooting skills.
Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
5+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration or HRIS systems, with increasing levels of responsibility.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
Experience using Zendesk or another ticketing platform.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of PrismHR is a plus.
Knowledge of Zendesk.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Additional Information
This role is currently a hybrid position with a 3-day in-office arrangement.
The position involves prolonged periods of computer-based work.
Extensive participation in virtual meetings across multiple time zones is required.
