REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
Be a Kenyan citizen
A Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a university recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists council.
A Master of medicine in General surgery from a university recognized by Kenya medical practitioners and dentists Council.
A Registration Certificate by Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
A Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Specialist Recognition Certificate from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists council
Shown outstanding professional competence and administrative capacity and initiative in the general organization and management of the patients in the area of specialization.
Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performing operations for appendicitis, bowel obstructions, and acid reflux.
Fixing abdominal, groin, and hiatal hernias.
Performing biopsies, lumpectomies, and mastectomies.
Utilizing laparoscopy or robotic-assisted technology to reduce recovery times and post-operative pain.
Removing skin cancers, cysts, and other lumps.
Leading hospital surgical teams to treat trauma and acute conditions
Training, supervising and mentoring medical officers (intern) and other students.
