On behalf of our client, we're looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing Officer to drive the company's marketing, business development, and customer acquisition activities. The successful candidate will promote the company's engineering products and services, identify new business opportunities, develop client relationships, and support the growth of the company's market presence. A candidate with a Mechanical Engineering background or technical understanding of engineering products and services will be highly preferred. A valid driving licence is mandatory, as the role will involve regular travel within Nairobi and surrounding areas for client visits, business development, and market activities.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target markets.
Promote Artson Engineering products and technical services to prospective clients.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Visit clients, project sites, contractors, consultants, and potential business partners.
Generate leads through field marketing, networking, referrals, digital platforms, and other channels.
Prepare and deliver company and product presentations to prospective clients.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
Work closely with technical and engineering teams to develop suitable client solutions.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and marketing documentation with relevant departments.
Follow up on quotations, proposals, tenders, and business opportunities.
Maintain an up-to-date database of clients, prospects, leads, and business opportunities.
Support promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, industry events, and networking forums.
Develop relationships with contractors, developers, manufacturers, consultants, institutions, and industry stakeholders.
Monitor sales leads and opportunities through to conversion.
Gather and communicate customer feedback to management and technical teams.
Monitor competitor activities and provide regular market intelligence.
Prepare weekly and monthly marketing and business development reports.
Track marketing activities, leads generated, client visits, and business opportunities.
Ensure professional representation of the Artson Engineering brand in the market.
Travel for client meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Requirements
Diploma in Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Mechanical Engineering background is highly preferred.
Minimum three (3) years' experience in marketing, sales, or business development.
Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction, industrial, or technical products is an added advantage.
Valid driving licence is mandatory.
Ability and willingness to travel for business development activities.
Strong understanding of B2B marketing and business development.
Demonstrated ability to generate leads and develop new business.
Good understanding of technical products and services.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
Strong reporting and analytical skills.
Self-driven, target-oriented, and commercially minded.
