Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field exploration for rocks and mineral deposits of economic value;
Identify drilling sites;
Supervise implementation of plans for drilling operations including: Core logging and core sampling;
Conduct geological site investigations;
Generate and interpret prospect-level maps including: lithological, structural, mineral resource and cross-section seismic profiles;
Generate additional geological, geochemical or geophysical data;
Undertake post-drilling analysis and evaluation;
Undertake chemical, mineralogical or microscopic examinations of exploration samples; and
Compile, interpret and present exploration data for usage
Requirement for Appointment
Person shall be qualified for appointment as the Geologist if that person meets the following minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in the following disciplines: - Geology, Geochemistry, Geophysics, Engineering Geology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Professional Qualifications / Membership to professional bodies Registered by the Geologists' Registration Board (GRB) and in good standing;
