Our client, Sierra Premium Breweries Ltd, is looking for an Electrical Technical Machine Operator to support the smooth and efficient operation of its production and packaging equipment.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone with a strong electrical background and experience operating machinery within a beverage manufacturing environment, particularly candidates with exposure to canning lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production and packaging machinery in line with SOPs and production schedules.
- Carry out machine start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers and wash-outs while maintaining quality and minimising downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic electrical and equipment faults.
- Support routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
- Monitor critical process parameters and take corrective action where required.
- Support the operation of production utilities and process equipment.
- Maintain accurate production, quality, breakdown and handover records.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety and EHS requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a beverage manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience operating production or packaging machinery, preferably canning lines.
- Good understanding of electrical systems and industrial production equipment.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA or other industrial control systems is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of brewing, packaging, utilities or process plant operations is an added advantage.
- Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on production environment and across shifts.
