Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or relevant Advanced Diploma in Early Years Education
Minimum three years' relevant Early Years teaching experience
Demonstrated understanding of child-led and play-based instructional approaches
Strong understanding of child development and diverse learning needs
Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Reflective, innovative, and adaptable approach to teaching
Commitment to continuous professional growth and sustainability
Strong alignment with Woodland Star's mission and values
International or multicultural experience preferred
Valid TSC Number for Kenyan applicants
Current police clearance/background check
Certified copies of academic and professional documents
At least two professional references
Key Responsibilities:
Implement engaging, child-centred, and play-based learning experiences
Create a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment
Support children in developing confidence, independence, communication, and social skills
Observe learners closely and use assessment information to understand their development and inform teaching
Differentiate learning experiences to respond to individual needs, interests, and developmental stages
Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum, support learners, and engage in professional learning
Work closely with parents and families to support children's development and well-being
Communicate effectively with learners, families, colleagues, and the wider school community
Contribute to a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, creativity, exploration, and collaboration
Uphold Woodland Star's educational standards, mission, values, and Behaviour Code
Participate in school events, projects, and community initiatives
Engage in continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice
