Dental Officer - Two (2) Posts at Mandera County Government

 Terms of Service – Three (3) Years Contract
 Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing dental care including diagnosing common oral conditions

• Treating, prescribing and referring

• Carrying out minor oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthetic and conservative dentistry

• Facilitating admission

• Disease investigation of patients

• Report writing and help in thearter activities

• Collecting information on dental health information system

• Organizing discharge summaries and follow –up of patients

• Acting as the first on call on duty

• Plan and manage county level health care programmes directed towards the improvement of health services.

 Requirement for Appointment

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (DS) Degree or any other equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioner and Dentist Board

• Be registered and in good standing with the Kenya Medical Practitioner and Dentist Board;

• Valid practicing Licence from Medical Practitioner and Dentist Board;

• Demonstrated a good understanding of the County Governments Mandate, Health

• Policies, as well as Vision 2030.

• Be proficient in computer skills.

• Have capacity to multitask within strict timeliness with minimum supervision.

• At least two (2) years working experience as a Medical Officer

• Shown outstanding administrative capability and professional competence required in managing livestock production services.
