Responsibilities
Assess children with special needs and disabilities;
Refer children assessed to other service providers;
Place children assessed in educational programmes;
 Provide data on assessment;
Train assessment staff in functional assessment;
Identify children with special needs and disabilities and recommend for placement in schools and institutions;
Create awareness, sensitize and capacity-build teachers, parents and other stakeholders dealing with children with special needs and disabilities
Participate community outreach service to awareness on disabilities
Qualifications / Work Experience
 Professional   Membership to a relevant professional body in good standing  Â
Academic   Bachelor's Degree in Education in the area of Special Needs or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution  Â
Professional   Two (2) years' experience working in Functional Assessment
